President Trump has just tweeted plans to impose sanctions on Turkey for their long time detainment of Pastor Andrew Brunson who he describes as an 'innocent man of faith'.
Pastor Andrew, a U.S. citizen from Black Mountain, North Carolina has spent nearly 21 months imprisoned in Turkey because of his Christian faith. He has been on trial for the crime of “Christianization,” and was recently released from prison but still under house arrest.
According to President Trump, 'the United States will impose large sanctions on Turkey for their long time detainment of Pastor Andrew Brunson, a great Christian, family man and wonderful human being. He is suffering greatly. This innocent man of faith should be released immediately'.
